I bought avid vocal studio,i got the mic and the headphones but its not working help!!!?

everytime i try to start it up it says "unable to locate avid hardware. make sure your hardware is connected and turned on. click ok when the hardware is ready." ive tried everything and it still doesnt work, help please?!
