Is it safe to overclock a nvidia 8200M G chipset?

I have a compaq presario cq60-210US with a AMD Athlon QL-62 @ 2ghz and the 8200M G has 256MB of dedicated memory, the motherboard is a wistron 303c. I have overclocked the gpu, but I want to make sure that I am not damaging my hardware because i do not want to be left with a burnt up hunk of junk.
