Window does not open?

I have mini acer laptop. last night I was working on my laptop, after sometime I logged off and later on the window is not opening to login. it's showing " a recent hardware or software change might have caused this " with few options like safe mode etc. When I try to click any option then again that shows the previous message. I am worried, what should I do ??
