WiFi problems on my new Fujitsu Laptop?

I just got my new laptop and it was working fine, but all of a he wireless wont work. I tried going onto wireless networking on my computer but when i would go to find my houses wifi SSDI, it says no networks in rang turn on wifi switch and i do and then it says "wireless network still disabled. Use hardware switch to enable it." and i have no idea what that means. My laptop is a Fujitsu LifeBook p series model P8020.
