So my question is, even though the university is regionally accredited, would my degree be worthless since it came from an un-accredited program within the University?

Being an E.I.T. as an entry level engineer is almost required if you want to find a job where you can move up in the field. I would recommend signing up for this test if you haven't already. If you have taken the test and haven't passed there are opportunities at the city, state, and federal levels that don't require E.I.T. certification. The job market has been suffering due to the economy in the last few years. Private sector jobs are limited as the economy is not fully recovered. I would suggest broadening your job search to areas with more infrastructure development and even looking at openings in the local government or with the Army Corp of Engineers, FEMA, or EPA. If you are not already familar I would suggest taking a course in AutoCAD drafting or highlighting your profenciency in other design programs you may have used in college on your resume. As an engineer you will have to learn to use several designing programs in your career.

Have been playing BFBC2 for over a year, no problems (everything on low, though). Should I transfer from a Mechanical Engineering program that is not yet accredited?

I am currently a sophomore attending a public university in Texas. The Mechanical Engineering program is not yet accredited, but the chair has said the university intends to apply for a visit by ABET in January of 2012. If things go well, ABET should then come out in the fall of 2012, and the program could be accredited in the summer of 2013. I am on track to graduate in the spring of 2013. From what the chair has said, if accreditation is received, it should be retroactive back to 2011 graduates. Is it unwise for me to continue to attend this university due to this uncertainty? What makes this decision more difficult is that right now I can live at home at lower cost, and if I transfer I will have to pay for an apartment. You should just buy a whole new system. The 3800+ is a dinosaur at this point. Also to do video editing you would need about 6 gigs minimum and a at least a quad core processor to be productive. Also a good video card would also help out. AMD has a 6 core processor's called the phenom II 1055, 1075, 1090T and they also have an 1100t all of which are very fast for video editing. Intel has even faster CPU's called core I7 2600k which cost more but they are over all faster.

I run on win xp and have 4Gb of DDR3 RAM and 2 Gb video onboard DDR3 RAM so that's 6Gb all together and the file that I'm using is only 3Mb so I don't really know what the issue is here. When I look in task manager i do see that Photoshop is using 1.2 Gb of RAM and Firefox using about 500Mb of RAM so why does it say my hardware is exceeding the limits? So I really want to get into a top tier graduate school (preferably Stanford) when I finish my undergraduate. I'm a dual Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major with an emphasis on Robotics. During my undergraduate, I've published two research papers at well known robotics conferences. I have one year before, and I currently have a 4.0 GPA (okay 3.98 because of a humanities course freshman year :P). I also plan on publishing at least one more research paper at the end of this summer. The reason I'm worried is that my undergraduate is being completed at a relatively unknown university (just barely top 200), it's ABET accredited and such. I'm just curious if anyone has any insight about how likely someone like me is to get accepted for a PhD with a payed research assistantship to a place like Stanford?

I have applied for master's of science in systems engineering. And I looked at the ABET website and the name of that university is only listed for electrical engineering and computer engineering. This means ABET accredited the BS in EE and its BS in CE program. However, the university does not offer BS in systems engineering and only offers MS in systems engineering. But its systems engineering master's is not accredited by ABET. That means its fake degree? So my computer keyboard as well as my mouse have been acting strange lately. on my keyboard everytime I try to play a flash game on my internet browser when I try to move my character with the arrow keys and I take my finger off of the key my character continues moving and the only way to stop it is to hit the same arrow key again. For my mouse it seems to double click when I single click. I have changed out both my keyboard and mouse and attempted to see if it was the hardware that was damaged, yet the smae things happened with the new keyboard and mouse. am pursuing a bachelor's degree from a brick and mortar institution that also offers degrees through distance learning and online (which is what I'm doing). The University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS-COC), and has a tier VI rating (the highest for it's accreditation). HOWEVER, my major is in CMIS, and I just read on the website that although their School of Computational Science and Engineering is seeking the ABET accreditation, they have not received it yet. So my question is, even though the university is regionally accredited, would my degree be worthless since it came from an un-accredited program within the University?

Problem installing Lexmark x4650 on Vista?

As my HP printer died a little while back, I decided to buy an Lexmark 3-1 printer over the weekend. The printer seems to install fine with the provided disc. However, once it finished installing, I receive a message 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)'. I have reloaded the drivers 3 times from Lexmak website, but no such luck. I have spoken to Lexmark for an hour who said the printer and my laptop were working fine and it was a Vista problem.

Mom's dumplings in tomato sauce?

My mother used to make us these "dumplings" that were about 1 inch or so square. They seemed to be made of flour and she would roll them, cut, cook and serve them in a tomato sauce (never from a jar). It was probably not the healthiest thing but with 6 to feed it would go pretty far. They were delicious and made us feel warm on a cold New England day. Can't connect to wireless?

Explanation: I've been having major problems with my GQ NX-L515 Laptop. It didn't have a factory image restore so I used a recovery cd from my PC about a year older. The OS changed from Vista to XP and a few problems occured. Somehow there wasn't any audio hardware and connecting to wireless networks option was gone as well. I don't know if its because there's a different way to do it but basically I need some help. I've already managed to fix the audio problem by downloading the software from Realtek so all that's left is the wireless problem.
